Best Practices in the K-8 math classroom (Wood Co. ESC, Half-Day)

Best practices in the K-8 math classroom using the research of John Hattie
FREE workshops with Laurie Boswell and Denise McDowell

John Hattie has completed over 1,400 meta-analyses of 80,000 studies, which
includes 300 million students. Through this research, he has compiled a list of
influences on student achievement, from the ones that allow for the most growth
in a single school year, down to the influences with a negative impact. Using the
research of John Hattie, teachers can ensure they are using the most impactful
strategies in the mathematics classroom.

Sessions will include:
» Questioning Strategies
» Learning Intentions and Success Criteria—Creating Success Through Student Self-Assessment
» Connecting Big Ideas for Young Mathematicians—When Rigor and Relevance Meet Collaboration

Lunch is included.

All administrators, curriculum leaders, coaches, and teachers welcome.
