Ohio’s Stronger Together: Children’s Mental Health and Resiliency Virtual Conference Registration!

Registration is open for “Stronger Together: Children’s Mental Health and Resiliency Virtual Conference” June 28 and 29! The conference is free to attend and open to professionals across the state who affect the lives of children. The conference will highlight best practices throughout the state of providing mental health services for Ohio’s students. Some sessions focus on classroom interventions and others are about schools and partners working together to meet the needs of students. Keynotes include Rob Vincent from SAMSHA and a Student Voice Panel with remarks from the Governor, Department of Education Leadership and Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services Leadership. CEUs are pending.

The Ohio Department of Education is hiring a Family and Community Engagement Coordinator! 

The Ohio Department of Education is looking for qualified candidates to fill a unique and exciting position in the Office of Whole Child Supports. The Family and Community Engagement Coordinator will serve as the project manager and content expert for Ohio’s programs and policies related to supporting family and community engagement and will lead the integration of family engagement into other agency initiatives, such as Ohio’s Whole Child Framework. This position will lead, in collaboration with the Ohio State University’s Statewide Family Engagement Center, the Family and Community Partnership Liaison grant with Ohio’s Educational Service Center. The ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience coordinating state-level policies and programs with diverse stakeholders; facilitating work groups; strong relationship management skills; and development of tools and technical assistance to support the education of Ohio’s students. The salary for this position is negotiable up to $76,000 dependent on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Interested candidates can find more details and apply here.
