FIP Your School

Formative Instructional Practices (FIP) are the formal and informal ways teachers and students gather and respond to the evidence of learning. They are not yet another initiative to implement - they have been created to help implement all the new initiatives that have come down the pipeline. They consist of four core components:

  • Clear learning targets
  • Effective feedback
  • Collecting and documenting evidence
  • Student ownership
