Generative AI Digital Teaching Simulations for Elementary Paraeducators

Educational Testing Services (ETS) is looking for input from Elementary Principals who have experience working with paraprofessionals. ETS is paying study participants via Amazon Gift Cards.

ABOUT THE STUDY

Educational Testing Service (ETS) is conducting research to pilot generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) digital teaching simulations, assessing their effectiveness in supporting elementary paraeducators' professional learning. To support this research, we are inviting elementary paraeducators, in-service elementary teachers with experience working with elementary paraeducators, and principals/administrators who currently or previously supervised paraeducators' work.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

Your feedback will be instrumental in refining these GenAI tools to better support elementary paraeducators in their professional learning. Participation in this study will involve audio and video recording to support our research efforts in providing comprehensive insights. Participation is voluntary, and by joining, you’ll directly contribute to the future of elementary paraeducator professional learning.

Get ready and dive into the simulation
Prepare for a scenario and interact with one or more GenAI students to facilitate and guide student thinking on a math or science topic.

Tell us about yourself & share your experience
Complete a brief questionnaire to capture your demographic information, educational background, and previous teaching experience. The last step is to complete a short post-simulation survey to share your overall experience with the simulation and what you learned from interacting with the GenAI student(s).
